Early-morning fire ravages through pizzeria in the Bronx

Around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a three-alarm fire broke out at a pizzeria in the Bronx, New York. The blaze quickly engulfed the restaurant, leaving little to no chance for the occupants to escape.

According to officials, the fire started in the kitchen of the pizzeria and spread quickly through the rest of the building. All of the occupants of the building, which included a number of residents who lived above the restaurant, were able to escape the fire. However, one firefighter was injured while fighting the blaze and was taken to a local hospital.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is believed to have been started by a cooking appliance. The damage caused by the fire is estimated to be around $1 million.
